Cost main reason for and against Green IT initiatives

Cost savings is the number one reason behind Green IT initiatives. In its study Helping to Define Green IT, CompTIA found that 80 percent of businesses undertaking Green IT initiatives were doing so at least partly for the positive effect on their bottom line. But customers are pushing for the initiatives as well – 50 percent of businesses report customers calling for a greener approach.
